Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a central hub for current and future Friesian and Friesian cross horse owners to buy and sell this spectacular breed whether it be for performance, breeding, or pleasure.
We hope that Friesian Horse Classifieds will connect hopeful buyers with their dream horses.
About the Founder
Friesian Horse Classifieds was founded in 2010 by Jessie Smith Wiley of North Carolina. Jessie has experience in marketing, web design and development, and is a Friesian owner.
Jessie has a true passion and love for horses that has been evident since birth. She began riding at the age of 5 on the family farm which kept Arabian horses. It was many years later while visiting a nearby farm that Jessie met a certain breed that she didn't even know existed- the FRIESIAN.
The particular Friesian that Jessie met that day was Daen 286, a 16.2 hand Friesian stallion standing for stud at Poole Training Center in South Carolina. Jessie's comments were, "I could not believe that he was a real living animal. His mane was down to his knees, forelock to his nose, his tail was thicker than 3 'normal' horse tails put together, his coat was coal black. He looked like he stepped out of a fairytale book, and I knew that I had to have one!". Several years later, Jessie's dream came true and she acquired her dream horse- a beautiful Friesian mare by Teade 392 of Iron Spring Farm.
Jessie has plans to begin dressage lessons with her mare in the Spring of 2011.
